  well, i got my march visit in june.

  two elders that i have known for a very long time showed up at my house today, to ask what my intention was with reguard to riligion.

  and that it has been said that i have been saying things against the org.

  Kilroy, they do not give a twit about your relationship with God, It is all about do you accept the borg as His channel.

  That is the defining question. Your relationship with God is personal, and not subject to speculation, right? After all it is your God. But what they wanna know is, are you going to be a good dub, and tow the line. Are you willing to have two gods? Your god, and the borg?

  If your answer was no, then you will surely be disfellowshipped. If it is maybe, that will probobly not be good enough, as you are ''having doubts''. If it is yes, then do what you are told, attend meetings, assemblies, do ''service'', etc.

  I hope you are ok with what will happen. I urge you to seek a good support network, and be done with those goofballs!

  can Satan read your mind?

  i talked to my brother today who is still a practicing jw (i've managed to fade) .

  we were talking and suddenly he asked me if i thought satan could read my mind.

  and he said "yeah i though the answer was yes and then i found out that satan cant read my mind".

  That crap was expounded for years (and probobly still is) to scare little kids witless. Unfortunatly, many of the JW adults have the mind of a four year old, and took it as true also. Thank heavens kids are smarter, and more critical than they used to be. At least I hope so. They used to scare me so bad, (five times a week), that I could not sleep at night. Every sound in the dark made me think demons were present. I was too afraid to look in a mirror, cause they said demons could use them for gateways!

  I used to fall asleep on the staircase, because I was too frightened to go upstairs by myself. Funny how after my step-mom (the dub in the family) went away, the demons went with her!

  Who of you here know someone in Bethel who is leaking information?

  do any of you here have direct contacts with bethel, or one of the branches?

  do any of you have family that is in bethel?.

  not too long ago one of you posted that bethel asked for 1000 volunteers to be laid off, but only 6 repsonded.

  Good News Story

  here's a real good news story, at least i think so.. i was one of the instructors of the confirmation class at my catholic church.

  since the bishop was coming the knights of columbus (a catholic mens organization) was performing duties as honor guard.

  when the knights are the honor guard they wear tuxedos, a large hat with ostrich plumes, a cape, white gloves, and a sword.

  i got a phone call last night from the po in my old congregation.

  i haven't attended in 2 years now.

  anyway, the po asked if they could meet with me and i said no.

  could it be that some of the posters on this board suffer from ''stockholm syndrome''?

  i wonder how some of them can claim to be jw's, post on an ''apostate'' board, even complain about the borg a bit, but still attend meetings, stand up for the doctrines, and even attempt in an odd way, to shun all the other posters.

  for those who don't know the term stockholm syndrome, it is when a victim knows the perpetrator is hurting him/her, but begins to empathise, and even help them continue the harm.

  I'll have to watch it now. My kids are big sci-fi fans. I hate to admit this, and open myself to public scorn, but my favorite sci-fi movie is ''little shop of horrors''. Not the Roger Corman original, but the remake with Ellen Green and Rick Moranis. So Cheesy!

  My son likes those oldies like War of the Worlds, and so forth, drives me nuts!!
